Anne and Nick had a beautiful wedding filled with family and friends. They are a modern-day Brady Bunch family and all of their kids were there to celebrate the day with them and also acted as the wedding party along with Anne's best friend Maria. Anne got ready at her and Nick's home in the city while Nick got ready with his sons at the Universtiy Club of Chicago.
They wed at Assumption Greek Orthodox church in Chicago and it was a ceremony that was rich in traditions that are unique to the Greek Orthodox weddings. As they exited the church everyone threw birdseed at the new couple
Crystal Lake Illinois Park Ward Events Rolls Royce Museum Styled Shoot
I was so excited to take part in a styled shoot at a new wedding venue located in Crystal Lake, Park Ward Events. Park Ward is a very cool new venue that is also a Rolls-Royce Museum so perfect spot for a one-of-a-kind event. Park Ward is a very dramatic venue with moody lighting throughout. There are options to get married inside as well as outdoors. Check out the cool old car that was just filled with flowers. One of my couples that ended up having to push back their wedding to 2021 came to model for me and we had such a great time. I wanted to give a huge thank you to all the amazing vendors! Without all of them, this amazing shoot wouldn’t of been able to happen!

Spring Outdoor Algonquin Studio Maternity Session
I wanted to share some images from outside my studio in the spring. I loved how pretty it looks there when all the flowers are in bloom and the trees start to get their leaves again. This little girl was so excited to be a big sister and I can’t wait to see them again now that baby is here! Maternity sessions are a great way to capture your growing family.
One Year Studio Birthday Session with Smash Cake
Happy Birthday Mr. P ! It has been such a wonderful time watching you grow this past year from a tiny sleepy newborn to a little man who knows how to crawl faster than I can jog! The S family came to my studio for his one-year photos. We did a mixture of indoor and outdoor photos and some with a holiday theme and they finished the session with an epic sprinkle-covered smash cake. I love working with families in my studio in downtown Algonquin since it provides so much variety. I have indoor and outdoor space available to shoot in there along with lots of backdrops, furniture, and props.
Downtown Chicago Lincoln Park Engagement Session
Well it was a wild year, and I have so much blogging to catch up on but I figured why not kick it off with the amazing engagement session I did earlier this year with Nena and Gabe. They were so excited to have the engagement city in Chicago and hit some iconic spots and we had such a great time around South Pond and the lakefront on this perfect November day! Chicago engagement sessions are so much fun since there is just so much variety you can capture in a relatively small area! Take a peek at some of my favorites from their day. I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with them this August.
2020 PPA IPC Competition Results
Over the past few years, I have gotten more involved in the PPA and my local affiliate PPANI and with that comes image competition. I have been doing well in my local competition but this year I entered a full case into the IPC (International Print Competition) wedding division which consisted of four images, three of the four merited (General Collection) and of those three, one went loan. This year there were 5000 images submitted into this photography competition of some of the best photographers in the industry. 1706 of the 5000 images submitted were selected for the General Collection and only 865 were selected for the loan collection. I am so proud to be included this year in both of these collections!

What is a mini shoot?
A mini shoot is just a taste of what a full session would be. They are perfect for a milestone or special occasions such as a sitter session, prom, school photo, first communion and etc. I host them at my studio at 122 S Main St. Algonquin either inside or right behind my studio since it opens up to a beautiful area filled with trees, a creek, wildflowers, and some cool more urban-looking walls. I do also offer mini-sessions at other locations on select dates. So if you are flexible with location and dates a mini might just be the perfect fit for you. After the session, you will receive a full gallery of images to pick out your 8 that comes with the mini.
All of these images below were taken either in my studio or right behind my studio. There is just so much flexibility for you to choose from in one convenient location.
New Lenox Backyard Wedding of Braden and Ryan
I had such a wonderful time photographing the backyard wedding of Braden and Ryan. When Covid spoiled their plans of a big wedding in Michigan, they pivoted and still got married surrounded by their closest family. It was a beautiful ceremony and really reminded me of the reason why people get married, because they truly love each other. I can’t wait to photograph their vow renewal and reception next year in Michigan and what is even better is now I know their families.
