Matthew gave me a ring looking for a newborn session and we had such a wonderful time at our lifestyle newborn session at their Huntley home. We started with some brunch and then moved to their room, living room, and a few outside too! What an adorable family, I had such a wonderful time working with them all and can’t wait to see them again!
Chicago Summer Lakefront Family Photo Session
I had such a great time with the “P Family” at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf course. I hadn’t been to this location in quite a few years and forgot how gorgeous is was here, plus ample parking which is also always a huge plus in my book! We got some amazing Chicago portraits
Headshot Variety at DeAnda Photography
I love working with headshot clients, especially when they need something a little different. Donna came from Elgin to see me at my downtown Algonquin photo studio wanting something a little less traditional during our headshot session. During our short session we not only had an outfit change but we also really changed the mood and feeling of the images with lighting and the backgrounds. One of my favorite things about my studio is the outdoor area surrounding it. I always try to get my clients to head outside with me for a few images to get even more variety.

1 year Algonquin Studio Session and Cake Smash
I met Cindy and Stuart when I photographed one of her good friend’s wedding. Then Cindy and Stuart picked me to photograph their own wedding! You may remember them from an award-winning image of them in the snow on their wedding day!
Once they had their gorgeous baby girl I knew I couldn’t wait to have the chance to photograph her with her big blue eyes. Miss Lucy was just a dream and loved having her photos taken! Take a peek at our session we did just this past weekend. Lucy loved the new furniture we had and new wall color, it really made her already super blue eyes pop. The funniest part during the session, when we were trying to get her to smile, was having to play a tax commercial jingle on youtube. This girl may be a future accountant or CPA!
After a few outfit changes, we head to the cloud wall for some fun dreamy shots there and ended with my favorite, a smash cake. Smash cakes are always fun to do in-studio and she knew just what to do when we put that cake in front of her!

What could be more fun than playing in the clouds? For a limited time, I will be hosting these cloud limited edition sessions at my studio at 122 s. Main st. Algonquin, IL 60102. These sessions will take 25mins and are perfect for 1-2 kids. My cloud wall will also be available for full sessions by appointment only. Summer Cantigny Family Session in Wheaton
I have been photographing the “K Family” since they were just a family of two awaiting the arrival of Miss L. Now, she is all grown up. We decided to head to Cantigny Park in Wheaton for our most recent session and were surprised by the sunflowers that were in bloom there. Cantigny is a great spot for photos as it offers beautifully manicured gardens and grounds. Cantigny Park does have a permit fee that is required, but is was super reasonable at just $35. If you can make it here on a weeknight it is even better since there aren’t many people out on weeknights. I hope to head back here once everything is in bloom for the spring!

I was super excited when Jessica reached out to me as we went to school together from K-8th grade at St.Alexanders in Palos Heights. I hadn’t seen her since grade school so it was a real blast from the past to be there meeting her adorable little guy Elijah! Check out some of my favorites from their shoot below!
Winter Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens Lifestyle Family Photo Session
While snow can be a bother, it sure makes for some fantastic photos. I headed into Chicago last week for {M’s} first birthday photos. We even did them on his actual birthday which made it even more special. We started in their gorgeous Chicago condo, then head out to their outdoor rooftop, then strolled down to Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens and finished it all off with a smash cake!
One Year Old Studio Boho Session with Smash Cake
I was so happy to meet Miss Isla and capture some photos of her! We started with the new boho set-up we have at the studio currently! How cute is this new bed setup with all the plants and peacock chair? Then we headed to my favorite darker studio backdrop in her dress. After that we did a few with some other backdrops I had, the turquoise backdrop really made Isla pop! How cute is her hair in these photos? Finally we ended with a smash cake and she went right in for it. I love ending 1 year sessions with a cake smash! Booking a studio session in the winter is the perfect backdrop to any of the milestones you are celebrating with your kids!
Chicago Newborn Lifestyle Family Photography Shoot
At-home lifestyle sessions are my favorite way to capture newborns. A few great places to shoot in your home would be your bedroom, living room, and nursery. I know how much time you have spent preparing the nursery, so why not capture that in photos as well. Typically I like to book my newborn clients in the first 10 days, but with lifestyle sessions, there is a little more flexibility incase you need to wait for whatever reason.
This little guy and his family may look familiar to you, as I just posted his one-year session at my studio a few weeks ago. He is in my baby plan. The baby plan that comes with 4 sessions you can use over a 2 year period, so feel free to inquire about that if you have a newborn at home!
